Novo Nordisk to Invest $78M in Iran Plant

Construction is expected to begin in about six months

Novo Nordisk will invest $78 million to build a manufacturing plant in Iran, according to a Reuters article. The company has had a subsidiary in the country since 2005 selling insulin and employing 130 people.

"We have been working on this for a long time, also before the nuclear agreement was settled, and we have confidence that the Iranian society and economy is developing positively," Ole Moelskov Bech, head of the firm's Near East unit, told Reuters.
