Boehringer cuts nearly 300 jobs in France

The company's French workforce will see 327 jobs cut but will also see 32 new ones created.

Boehringer Ingelheim has announced plans to cut 327 jobs in France while it is rejiggering its operations around its Lyon hub. The German drugmaker currently has a workforce of 2,800 in France.

Boehringer's Jean Scheftsik de Szolnok also announced plans to create 32 new positions and that it will offer voluntary departure packages to avoid forced exits.
