Samsung Biologics, a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) headquartered in Incheon, South Korea, has signed a $262 million manufacturing agreement with an undisclosed European pharmaceutical company, extending production commitments through 2033.

Production under the agreement will take place at Samsung Biologics’ Songdo manufacturing site in South Korea. The client and product details were not disclosed under confidentiality provisions.

According to the announcement, the agreement brings Samsung Biologics’ cumulative contract value to more than $21.9 billion. The company said demand for long-term manufacturing capacity remains strong across its network.

Samsung Biologics currently operates 845,000 liters of manufacturing capacity across South Korea and the United States, including 785,000 liters in Songdo and 60,000 liters at its Rockville, Maryland, facility. The company acquired the Rockville site in March 2026, establishing its first U.S. manufacturing operation.

The CDMO has also secured land for Bio Campus III in South Korea and is planning additional capacity and capabilities as part of its longer-term manufacturing strategy. In August, Samsung Biologics announced a KRW 3 trillion (approximately $2.2 billion) rights offering, with about KRW 2.71 trillion allocated toward its planned acquisition of PolyPeptide Group and approximately KRW 290 billion designated for expansion of Bio Campus II.
