Lonza has narrowed its CEO hunt down to six candidates, the company reported this week.
Swiss-based Lonza has been looking for a candidate who can help guide the company through its transition to focusing on its pharma and biotech sectors while potentially ditching its chemicals unit. In particular, the new CEO will have to help the company decide if wants to spin the unit off into a separate entity, sell it, or keep it as is.
To help Lonza through the process, the chairman told Reuters that the company is looking for an industry vet with more than 20 years of experience in pharma.
