The Case of the Infertile Pigs: Wyeth Medica Ireland Charged with Improper Waste Disposal

Wyeth Medica Ireland (now part of Pfizer) pleaded guilty to the improper disposal of waste from the manufacture of a contraceptive drug made at its Newbridge plant. The drug wound up in treacle fed to pigs in the Netherlands, causing the animals to become infertile. The Irish Times reports.
