President Obama on Wednesday appealed to patriotism to woo manufacturers back to U.S. soil.
Speaking at a Master Lock plant in Milwaukee, Obama urged business leaders to reverse the tide of outsourcing and find ways to create jobs in the United States.
"Ask what you can do to bring jobs back to your country, and your country will do everything we can to help you succeed," Obama told the crowd of employees gathered on the factory floor of the iconic padlock manufacturer.
The president used the company to illustrate his point. Master Lock, a union shop, has brought 100 jobs back from overseas, he said. He hailed the plant as "a proud example of what can happen when unions and employers work together to create good jobs."
