J&J Ordered to Pay $72M in Lawsuit Linking Powder to Woman's Cancer

Johnson & Johnson is ordered to pay $72 million to the family of Jackie Fox, who blamed her fatal ovarian cancer on the company’s talcum powder, according to a Bloomberg article.
It’s the first time a jury has ordered J&J to pay damages over claims that it knew decades ago that its talc-based products could cause cancer and failed to warn consumers, the story said.
J&J is currently facing about 1,200 suits linking its Johnson’s Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower product to ovarian cancer.
