Applied Biosystems introduces SQL*LIMS Quality Event Management System (QEMS) -- a new, purpose-built quality management solution for Deviation Tracking, OOS/OOT investigations, CAPA (corrective and preventive action) management, Root Cause analysis, and support of Quality Effectiveness programs.
An easy-to-use web-based application, SQL*LIMS QEMS captures quality events of all types (Cases) and manages their workflow through escalation and/or resolution. Both LIMS and non-LIMS users can initiate and track quality events. When seamlessly integrated with SQL*LIMS, users are provided with visual Case indicators that relate to samples, stability studies, and manufacturing lots. Extensive, easy-to-use data query tools and configurable dashboards provide for monitoring and analysis of quality events, including goal-based quality improvement initiatives. In support of highly regulated organizations, the system provides automated email notifications, performance metrics on user tasks and organizational effectiveness, audit trails, e-signatures, and user authentication.
When combined with SQL*LIMS, SQL*LIMS QEMS provides a single unified data repository to manage quality, whether for a single laboratory or for multiple sites around the world. When used in conjunction with SQL*LIMS Lot Control, product-impacting quality events are automatically linked to inspection lot plans to provide a complete picture prior to Lot Release or Dispositioning.
