Printer-Applicator System Knocks Out Labeling of Knock-Down Cartons

The ID Technology Knock-Down Label Printer Applicator system applies printed labels to knock-down corrugated cartons prior to case forming and product packing. The system is well-suited to production environments where quick or frequent case-size changeovers and label repositioning are the norm.

The Knock-Down system comes standard with a 32” case feeding magazine, “vacuum-free” mechanical case separation, case transfer by powered rollers and a gravity discharge/re-stacking platform. With its modular design, the system’s case and label re-loading areas is quickly and easily accessible, according to the company. In addition, the Knock-Down system can be configured to include optional inkjet coding and label verification functionality.

At the heart of this system is the next-generation IDT Model 250 printer-applicator. With its modular component configuration, the Model 250 readily integrates into any packaging system. ID Technology says its “hot swap” spare assemblies install in minutes, reducing costly downtime.

Rated for heavy-duty use, the Knock-Down Label Printer Applicator system features a welded frame with 10-inch aluminum channel, and stainless and plated steel construction to withstand harsh packing environments.
