Uhlmann, a global leader in blister packaging technology, will introduce its new BEC 500 Blister Express Center to the U.S. market at Booth # 5102 at Pack Expo International 2006, Oct. 29 - Nov. 2 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The BEC 500, which consists of an Uhlmann B 1550 Blister Machine and the new Uhlmann C 2504 Cartoner (which the company claims is the world's fastest), offers maximum flexibility and high speed performance in one line for pharmaceutical packaging.

With GMP-compliant machine design, intelligent components and reliable process steps, the BEC 500 is the fastest single-lane blister line in the world, according to Uhlmann. Capable of attaining an output of 500 packages per minute, the BEC 500 allows for the continuous running of film without pause or interruption. It also provides full compensation for shrinkage, blister by blister; incorporates “good product” engineering that allows only good blisters and correctly filled cartons to be processed; and has integrated touch-control systems that save changeover time, minimize sources of error, and guarantee maximum process reliability.

Uhlmann will also unveil its newest rebuilt UPS 3 Blister machine at Pack Expo. Featuring the latest control systems and the world’s only Visio4U in-line leak detection system that can run at production speeds, the rebuilt UPS 3 is the perfect choice for those who were previously unable to afford an Uhlmann Blister Machine. Available at approximately half the price of a new machine, it offers Uhlmann performance and reliability along with a one-year new machine warranty.
