Color Machine Vision Camera Touts Fidelity, Sensitivity

Toshiba Teli America, Inc. has introduced its CS6910CL machine vision camera. It employs a Fuji honeycomb-style 1/4” CCD sensor, which provides superior color fidelity and greater sensitivity versus traditional CCDs. This translates into lower error rates and speeds up to 30 frames-per-second in full frame output across a wide range of applications.

The CS6910CL’s progressive-scan sensor acquires SXGA (1280 x 960) or VGA (640 x 480) images in 24-bit color (8 per R-G-B), even in random trigger shutter. Its Camera Link interface allows it to digitally output images in RGB or YUV mode, while also offering the convenience of standardization for fast, cost-effective integration into new or existing vision systems. Further enhancing this simplified integration is the camera's compact dimensions (54mm x 43mm x 59mm), minimal weight (150g), and use of universal C-Mount lenses.

The camera’s feature set includes external trigger, 50dB Signal-to-Noise ratio, electronic shutter, AGC, one-push white balance, minimum sensitivity of 30 [email protected], and edge enhancement capability. It operates on DC12V.

The new CS6910CL is immediately available.
