Sanitary Grade Separators Keep Out Tramp Metal
This manufacturer supplies a wide range of sanitary-grade magnetic metal separators and metal detector-separators for food industry and pharmaceutical applications. Combining magnetic metal separators, designed to remove ferrous contaminants, with units that can detect and separate metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, lead, brass, and copper allows Bunting to offer comprehensive tramp metal protection. Bunting sanitary separation systems protect product purity and processing equipment and help reduce product waste. Bunting has expanded its separation equipment line to include units engineered to handle liquids, pastes, slurries, and even packaged items, as well as more conventional separators for feeds, grains, cereals, and other bulk materials. Sanitary-grade separators meet guidelines set by the USDA-3A standard for sanitary fabrication. Type 304 stainless steel is the standard material used for bodies and flanges. Type 316 stainless is an option. All interior seams are fully welded and ground smooth, and there is minimum inside radius control for all features. Equipment incorporates FDA-approved gaskets and seals plus special interior and exterior finishes, including optional electropolishing. Separators can be ordered with either Ceramic, Alnico, or Rare Earth magnets, including heat-resistant Rare Earth types.
