SmartSolve Version 7.03.5 has been rolled out globally. A fully integrated, Web-based solution built on the Microsoft.NET framework, the new version enhances SmartSolve's key features and includes SmartAudit Offline, a feature that allows users to perform offsite audits where a network or Internet connection is not available.
The new software includes new discussion forums that allow multiple users to communicate with each other, much like an Internet bulletin board, eliminating the need to communicate through emails or meetings. It provides a way to make informed decisions as a group.
Meanwhile, a new SmartView portal allows users to search, open records, run queries and reports, and participate in discussions. The portal is ideal for users who only need "view access" to information or report querying capabilities. Other new features include:
- Report export options
- Security models that tie an actor versus roles
- New report export options, spell checking and rich text formatting capabilities
- Enhancements for improved handling of international time zones, global supplier contacts, users and dates
- Integration with SmartAudit Offline, described above, which allows users to perform remote offsite audits in situations where Internet or network connections are not possible.
