Sanofi names former automaker exec as CFO replacement

Sanofi has announced the hiring of Jean-Baptiste Chasseloup de Chatillon, the former chief financial officer at Peugeot-manufacturer PSA. Chasseloup de Chatillon had helped oversee a revival in PSA’s fortunes.

Chasseloup de Chatillon will become Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Member of the Executive Committee, effective Oct. 1, 2018. He will join Sanofi on Sept. 1 to help with the transition of current CFO Jérôme Contamine, who will retire on Sept. 30.

"Jean-Baptiste is an experienced CFO who has been part of the impressive turnaround of PSA Group," said Sanofi CEO Olivier Brandicourt. "His track record of successfully driving finance across different businesses and geographies throughout his career will be of great value to lead our very experienced team around the world.
