Novartis said it signed a partnership agreement with Shenzhen-based tech platform provider, Tencent Holdings, for a collaboration that will focus on heart disease.
The collaboration will give patients access to Tencent’s health services, including reminders to take their medication and information about their condition. Tencent will leverage its social communication platform, WeChat and mini programs, to allow Novartis products’ origin tracing, online directions for use explanation, and disease knowledge sharing.
The agreement follows an earlier agreement between Tencent and British drugmaker, AstraZeneca.
