Mylan recalls all batches of blood pressure drug in U.S.

Dec. 4, 2018

Mylan will be expanding a nationwide voluntary recall of its blood pressure medicine valsartan to include all lots.

The company recalled some batches two weeks ago but is now recalling 104 additional lots after discovering that the valsartan-containing products had traces of an impurity.

Last month, the FDA stopped imports of drug ingredients or medicines from Zhejiang Huahai Pharmaceuticals, a Chinese bulk manufacturer of valsartan.
