Teva to Lay Off 500, Close/Sell Hungarian Plant

Teva plans to lay off 500 workers in the next several months and will close or sell one of its Hungarian plants in Godollo by end of 2018.

According to a Reuters article, Teva Pharmaceutical intends to lay off 500 workers at its Hungarian plant in Godollo in the next several months. The company says it will close down or sell Godollo plant by end of 2018, but it will operate with reduced capacity until mid-2018.

Teva says its other two Hungarian plants in Debrecen and Sajobabony will not be affected, the article said.
