Teva Pharmaceutical has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Eli Lilly that aims to block it from bringing migraine drug galcanezumab to the United States as well as for damages.
Filed in federal court in Boston on Tuesday, Teva claims that Lilly’s drug would infringe five patents that cover Teva's migraine drug. Teva also said thatLilly was aware of the patents covering its drug.
The case is Teva Pharmaceuticals International GmbH v. Eli Lilly and Company, U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, No. 17-cv-12087.
