The Almirall board of directors has recently approved the appointment of Peter Guenter as its CEO effective Oct. 1 as its current CEO, Eduardo Sanchiz, steps down.
Guenter will be leaving a position from Sanofi as the drugmaker’s global diabetes and cardiovascular chief. Guenter has been with Sanofi for 22 years, having been promoted to EVP in 2016.
Sanchiz initiated his succession plan more than a year ago and will stay on to aid Guenter in his transition to CEO during September.
