Mylan Under Fire for EpiPen Failures Overseas

Mylan announced that two reports in a batch of about 80,000 EpiPens failed to to activate outside the U.S.

Mylan NV has recalled EpiPen devices in some countries outside the United States, according to a Reuters article. There were two reports that the allergy shot failed to activate in an emergency.

The recall includes EpiPen devices issued in Ireland, Australia, Finland, Denmark and some other European nations, the story said. Mylan did not say if the failures resulted in deaths, and did not say how many devices were being recalled.
