The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office raided Novartis' South Korean unit earlier this week on suspicions that it had provided rebates to local doctors.
Prosecutor's confiscated documents and accounting books from the Seoul office as part of an investigation alleging that Novartis had been handing out bribes to doctors for using their products.
Further details were not made available. "Novartis Korea is fully cooperating with the prosecution on this case,” said a Novartis Korea spokesperson to the Korea Herald.
