Sun Pharmaceutical Recalls Generic Type 2 Diabetes Meds

Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. recalled thousands of bottles of generic diabetes medication in the United States after some bottles were found with epilepsy drugs. The recall came from Detroit-based Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories Ltd., a subsidiary of Sun Pharmaceutical. The company recalled 2,528 bottles of Metformin HCl, a drug meant to treat Type 2 diabetes, after a customer found tablets of Gabapentin, an epilepsy drug, in a bottle. Read the full story
