In a recent WARN filing, Shire said it expects to lay off 600 workers from its Pennsylvania facility, as it shifts its U.S. headquarters to Massachusetts.
The Ireland-based drug manufacturer announced in November that it was moving its U.S. headquarters from Wayne, Pennysylvania to Lexington, Massachusetts.
Shire says it expects to keep about 300 workers in Wayne, where the company's global supply chain group and part of its human resource operations and finance operations will continue to be based.
