UK Bans Second Wockhardt Plant from Exports

Britain's drug authorities have revoked the generic drugmaker's good manufacturing practice certificate from its main plant, meaning Wockhardt will no longer be able to supply products to Britain.

The Chikalthana plant ban comes on top of an earlier ban on drug shipments to the United States and Britain from a separate Wockhardt factory after hygiene and other compliance deficiencies were found.

Shares in the Indian drugmaker slid by their daily limit of 5 percent and have fallen nearly 70 percent for the year to date. Read more
