Sun Pharmaceutical Recalls Generic Type 2 Diabetes Meds

Thousands of bottles of generic diabetes medication were recalled after some bottles were found containing tablets for treating epilepsy

Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. recalled thousands of bottles of generic diabetes medication in the United States after some bottles were found with epilepsy drugs. The recall came from Detroit-based Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories Ltd., a subsidiary of Sun Pharmaceutical. The company recalled 2,528 bottles of Metformin HCl, a drug meant to treat Type 2 diabetes, after a customer found tablets of Gabapentin, an epilepsy drug, in a bottle. Read the full story
