The Art of Double Talk

Happy new year! Just catching up with news. Pharmalot and news outlets brought word of investigations into potential links between pharma companies Eli Lilly, GSK and AstraZeneca and bribes paid to former Iraqi regime insiders between  1996 and 2003. Sounds like a plot line for a TV series. The companies are cooperating fully and have denied any involvement. Two thousand companies in various industries are being investigated. For another example of life imitating art, click here to listen to one politician's virtuosic mastery of double-talk, in an exchange that could have been written by Monty Python.
