I was saddened to learn that Shire will be closing its Owings Mills, Md. facility. I had spoken with several Shire staffers there for this article last year on the facility's novel employee training program, and I sensed a definite energy and enthusiasm among everyone there. Is there a buyer out there?
Ironically, Google Shire and Owings Mills and you'll find a trail of optimism and news about expansions.
