SAP/ARC Webcast focuses on PAT,xMII

May 25, 2006
SAP recently hosted a webcast on process analytical technologies (PAT) with ARC's principal life sciences analyst, John Blanchard earlier this month (registration required).  Despite a bit of hype (for instance, one statement comparing PAT's importance in manufacturing to that of electricity), some unavoidable promotional on SAP's part, and some of those pauses that we've all come to love about webcasts, it provides an overview for those who are evaluating PAT, and who wish to know how SAP's products (particularly xMII) can fit in. By the way, noticed that SAP has set up an online forum for users in life sciences to exchange views, best practices, etc.  -AMS
