Merck Recall Highlights Importance of Proper Filling

FDA reports again this week that Merck has recalled three lots of Invanz (ertapenem sodium) injection (Lot numbers 0803930, 0803940, and 0803950). The product is used to treat patients with moderate to severe microbial infections. It was recalled because of two incidents of finding broken glass pieces in the reconstituted solution for injection. No other lots were affected by this recall. For more information, click here. -AMS
