Drug manufacturing and the selling of disease

The Public Library of Science asks, in a series of interesting essays on "disease mongering," whether the drug industry itself hasn't created "diseases" that don't really exist, but require treatment with its products.  Included is an article on teachers advocating medical treatments for ADD, and a study of "E.D." Clearly controversial but may lead to some open discussion...what do you think? -AMS
