Bad news from AstraZeneca. This morning, Bloomberg reported that the company will more than double planned job cuts due to decreased profits since the MedImmune acquisition. The cuts account for about 11% of the total workforce, or 7,600 positions, 3000 of them in operations, 1,800 in IT, 700 in R&D (and another 1800 in European sales and marketing).
