Summary

As biopharmaceutical manufacturing moves toward higher productivity, greater molecule complexity, and more flexible operations, traditional resin-based chromatography can become a downstream bottleneck. Long residence times, extended column operations, and high consumable requirements can limit throughput and contribute to manufacturing costs. Membrane chromatography offers a highly efficient, alternative approach, but questions remain around process robustness, scalability, product quality, and applicability to complex molecules.

This webinar will examine how Altruist Biologics’ fully characterized, mature membrane chromatography platform addresses these challenges through rapid-cycling, membrane-based purification. An integrated two-step membrane capture and polishing workflow enables increased downstream productivity while reducing consumable requirements and non-productive processing time. The platform is supported by cross-modality purification data, 200-cycle long-term operational robustness studies, and quantitative economic modeling demonstrating its potential to reduce cost of goods (COGS) in multi-product manufacturing scenarios.

Key Takeaways

-Learn how integrated membrane chromatography can provide a technically robust, linearly scalable industrialization pathway

-Gain insights from Altruist’s own platform case study with a successful validation at 200 L scale

-Assess the applicability of membrane-based purification to complex molecules
