BASF recently launched two new film-coating products in order to extend the comprehensive range of excipients available to its customers. Kollicoat IR White is the first ready-to-use coating system developed by BASF. Kollicoat IR White is derived from BASF's proprietary X-fast technology, which ensures extremely rapid dispersibility of the product in water.The other new product is Kollicoat Protect, which is a combination of Kollicoat IR and polyvinyl alcohol. It provides excellent moisture protection for sensitive drugs as well as taste-masking for those with a bad taste.
