North Carolina-based startup Practichem is looking to attract top talent by offering to lease a Tesla Model 3 for each of its employees, including those it plans to hire in the coming year.
A creative new twist on the common practice of offering stock options to conserve cash, Practichem is offering preordered Model 3 Teslas, which most likely won't be available until 2017.
Practichem manufactures protein chromatography instruments, HPLC columns, flash chromatography cartridges, instruments and OEM fluidic chromponents.
Practichem has 16 employees and hopes to grow to 25 in the near future. According to Nick DeMarco, founder and CEO, "We are always looking for brilliant engineers who want to contribute to something important.”
