UK Attempts to Up Adherence by Printing Cost to Taxpayer on Meds

The UK Health Secretary has announced that prescription medications priced more than $31 will have labels declaring how much their contents have cost taxpayers as well as the words "funded by the UK taxpayer."

The ministry hopes this will reduce waste and boost adherence by reminding people of the cost of medicine.

The labelling changes are part of the UK's efforts to reduce the yearly $468M bill for wasted medicines.
