Super-Pharm, Israel's largest pharmacy chain, is reportedly in talks to buy Teva's Ashdod plant.
Sources say that the pharmacy chain may pay approximately$17 million to 23 million and is prepared to commit to continue employing the factory’s 70 workers.
Teva had already announced plans to cut down its workforce by more than a quarter, giving up various plants in the process in order to pay off its nearly $35 billion debt.
This Teva plant has been used to prepare liquid medications such as antibiotics and chemotherapy.
