Roche has promoted Thomas Schinecker as its new head of its $13-billion-per-year diagnostics business. Schinecker will be moving from his position as global business head of the division’s centralized and point-of-care solutions arm to CEO of Roche Diagnostics on August 1.
Schinecker is filling the shoes of the retiring Michael Heuer, who was holding the position on an interim basis. The position was originally vacated by Roland Diggelmann last August.
Schinecker began as a trainee for Roche Diagnostics in 2003 and has held position in the United States, Singapore, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland.
