I'd missed this article published last November in the New York Review of Books, in which Dr. Marcia Angell discusses the LaCarre book and film.  She believes that elements of the plot were not only plausible, but well researched.  But she draws the line at the idea of Big Pharma hiring "hit men" to assassinate anyone. -AMS
