Food and Drugs Aren’t Enough. Let’s Have FDA Oversee Tobacco Too

Don't we want and need a functional FDA?  News that a Senate panel may have set the stage for FDA to supervise tobacco products came as  huge surprise, given ongoing imported and domestic food safety issues (including botulism recalls), and ongoing pharmacovigilance concerns.  Just how thin can any organization's efforts be stretched?
