Do Mysterious Polo Pony Deaths Pose New Supply Chain Safety Questions?

Are we about to hear of a new veterinary supply chain scare involving animal feeds----or vitamins or supplements, now under the cGMP compliance umbrella at FDA?  Or all three?
Are we about to hear of a new veterinary supply chain scare involving animal feeds----or vitamins or supplements, now under the cGMP compliance umbrella at FDA?  Or all three? The deaths of an entire team of Venezuelan polo ponies before a match (not just any match, but the "world series" of polo----losing the team was reportedly "the equivalent of losing the entire New York Yankees" team ) in Florida on Sunday (click here for AP reporting) has led to speculation that the animals were poisoned by tainted food, vitamins or supplements...or some combination of the three.  Is there another, more pernicious "melamine" story about to break in the animal feed or nutraceutical supply chain in the U.S. and/or Latin America?  This will be another one to keep tabs on.
