Quantitative Analysis of Glycerol in by RP-HPLC

Analytical methods for determination of glycerol based on enzymatic reactions can be costly and time-consuming, and gas chromatography is not always the best solution. Researchers at Warsaw’s Institute for Biotechnology and Antibiotics have developed a simple, rapid means of determining glycerol based on the oxidation of glycerol to formaldehyde.
