Science Meets Art in New Production

March 2, 2007
Will be interviewing protein researcher/playwright Vince Licata (coauthor, with New York-based performance artist and playwright Pong Ching,  of "Cocktail," the play about Krisana Kraisintu) later today, but just found this article from Louisiana State University, which will mount the production at its improbably named Swine Palace Theater next month.  Most interesting was the fact that Mr Licata gave the play's production crew a minilab/tutorial on enzyme kinetics before production began, to help them understand the mechanisms of AIDS drugs, and thus, Ms.Kraisintu's work, and to bring that understanding to the production. For more on Pong Ching, click here. -AMS
