Green Chemistry at Tel Aviv and Pfizer

The latest issue of the journal Angewandte Chemie ran an article by Tel Aviv professors Shapiro and Vigalok on "green" pharmaceutical process development and cases in which water could replace some key solvents.  More (but not much more) on the process here and more information from InPharmaTechnologist.com. Meanwhile, today brought news of a green chemistry collaboration involving Rowan University students and Pfizer, results of which will be reported in two weeks at the Green Chemistry meeting in Washington, D.C.
