New Software Makes Calibration Management a Snap
The new CMX V2 software package from Beamex introduces advanced features, options and benefits for calibration management.“It’s very simple to use; it provides traceable and auditable calibration reports, it adheres to regulations and it has wide customization possibilities,” Sami Koskinen, Software Product Manager, explains the benefits of CMX calibration management software. “On top of this, the new CMX V2 adds flexibility and entirely new possibilities to calibration management, such as using a PDA for manual entry on site or planning the optimal calibration interval with History Trend,” Sami Koskinen continues. The new CMX V2 is ideal for companies that want to increase their calibration-related work efficiency by making the entire calibration system paperless. In addition, CMX is very suitable for companies that need to have a calibration system that meets regulatory requirements, such as ISO 17025, cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11. Therefore, both large and small companies in the pharmaceutical industry will find the software highly useful. Moreover, when operations expand or several other plants need to use the same calibration management system, CMX adapts according to the new needs, thanks to its enterprise capabilities. Integrating the CMX into a maintenance management system is also possible. CMX V2 allows a company to computerize the entire calibration system, making it completely paperless. This is possible due to communication with documenting calibrators and the new Pocket PC Option of CMX, which allows the use of a PDA for manual data entry on site. This means the days of manual data entry with pen and paper are over. All calibration data can be stored efficiently and safely in a database.CMX V2's new History Trend Option allows the user to analyze the instrument’s drift over a certain time period. Based on this information, it is possible to make decisions and conclusions concerning the optimal calibration interval and the quality of the instruments.Other features of the new CMX V2 include wide calibration reporting possibilities with customized, traceable and auditable calibration certificates. There are many different templates to choose from and the calibration reports can be modified to meet company standards. In addition, the plant can share a database with other plants worldwide with the CMX V2. Storing all calibration data in one database is efficient use of both calibration and IT resources.
