Federal Prosecutors Target Merck, J&J and Endo for PMB Contract Info

According to the Wall Street Journal, federal prosecutors are investigating drug manufacturers' contracts with companies that manage prescription benefits in the United States.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York has requested information from at least three drug companies: Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co. and Endo International, noting recent company filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The article said investigative demands included information about contracts with pharmacy-benefit managers (PBMs), which administer drug benefits for employers and health insurers. Read the full WSJ story
