EPA Fines Pfizer Plant for Nondisclosure of Chemicals

Pfizer cited with hazardous chemical violations at its Puerto Rico plant

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has fined Pfizer $190,000 for failing to disclose that it had ammonia and methylamine at its facility in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico.

According to the article, EPA inspectors found in 2014 that ammonia and methylamine were in the plant in amounts above the regulatory limit and the company didn't disclose the information properly.
