Fired GSK Workers in China to Dispute Terminations

According to a Bloomberg article, GlaxoSmithKline Plc employees who were laid off in China last week will protest their terminations. At least 135 employees dispute the company’s decision to fire them, the story said, and about half plan to take their complaint to Chinese labor authorities, said Li Kunhua.

GlaxoSmithKline took disciplinary action against those employees for misconduct that had taken place in 2013. Workers said the company acted without “producing any evidence of compliance violations to the employees,” and did not offer “any compensation or reasonable communications.” Read the full story
