Tubing Specialized for Sensitive Biofluid Transfer Applications
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics introduces SaniPure BDF (Bovine Derivative Free) tubing. This biopharmaceutical-grade tubing is certified to be free of materials of animal origin and is the ideal choice for handling sensitive biological fluid transfer applications.SaniPure BDF is clear, flexible tubing with unsurpassed biocompatibility that is heat-sealable, bondable, weldable, and moldable for custom assembly fabrications. The tubing has an ultra-smooth inner bore which reduces potential particle entrapment and microscopic build-up and helps to facilitate complete sanitation of the fluid transfer while improving flow characteristics. It has superior peristaltic pump life and is fully autoclavable and sterilizable.SaniPure BDF has an absorption rate lower than virtually all elastomeric tubing currently in use, ensuring that common preservatives which are added during processing are fully optimized. SaniPure BDF has low protein-binding characteristics which minimize active ingredient loss, as well as, low permeability qualities that helps maintain proper pH levels.SaniPure BDF tubing complies fully with the requirements of USP Class VI, European Pharmacopoeia 3.2.6 and FDA 21 CFR Part 177.2600 criteria and is entirely non-cytotoxic, non-pyrogenic, and non-hemolytic.
