New Peristaltic Pump Delivers 60 Percent More Flow

Watson-Marlow Bredel will showcase its new 620 Series peristaltic pump in Booth # 1455 at Chem Show 2005, November 1-3 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The next generation of medium- to large-size peristaltic pumps, the 620 Series offers market-leading flow rates at pumphead speeds that don’t compromise tube life, combining power and control in a compact and rugged package. The 620 Series is ideal for a wide range of applications, including contamination-free transfer liquids and slurries.

With its extended performance, a 620 Series pump can reliably deliver 61% more flow; a single 620RE pumphead is capable of 5 gpm and pressures up to 60 psi. This new Series provides unrivaled performance with a control ratio of 2650:1. With no valves or seals to clog, the 620 Series pumps require minimal maintenance, resulting in reduced downtime, providing a cost-effective alternative to traditional positive displacement pumps.

The flagship pump in this series, the 620Du features manual control via a unique 16-key alpha-numeric keypad, as well as automatic control (analog and RS485 communication) for remote operation and process integration.

The 620 Series offers an exclusive, innovative PIN-secure process protection feature that provides two levels of PIN protection. For general chemical applications such as transfer or metering, the speed range can be capped to prevent accidental damage to delicate product. In sensitive control processes, keypad functionality can be disabled to avoid any inadvertent changes to pump settings. The keypad can also be disabled in remote installations to prevent tampering.

Every Watson-Marlow Bredel peristaltic pump is an inherent metering pump with repeatability at 99.5%.  Many models include integral digital drives and displays in washdown enclosures.  These self-priming pumps accommodate flow rates from 0.1 microliter to 350 gpm, and are extremely durable, withstanding pressures up to 232 psi. There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners, or glands to impede flow, and these pumps are reversible for back flushing lines. They can also run dry indefinitely without damage and provide up to a 30’ suction lift.
