Major layoffs at Schering

 layoffs Schering-Plough will lay off 1,100 pharmaceutical manufacturing professionals at its plants in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. The move will reportedly save some $100 million per year. Is this good business, or a case of more Al "the chainsaw" Dunlap's practices moving to pharma? We'll soon see.
